My sister made the poor choice of going to this ER hospital, and I use that term loosely, for abdominal pains. They did a ct scan and the nurse, the nurse mind you, informed her that she had a cancerous mass on her pancreas. Now why a nurse told us that I have no idea. Of course in the 7 hours we spent in the ER no doctor visited us so I guess that is why the nurse felt like scaring us to death.
The day after we went to a G I doctor who actually read the ct scan and informed us that there is a small growth on the Kidney and a very small cyst on the pancreas.
Came in through the ER in full labor and the staff was very quick and helpful. Everything went well until I stopped an anesthesiologist from giving me an epidural during an extremely painful contraction. As soon as I realized she had no intention of working with me to ease labor, I refused it altogether. Post wing was dirty and cluttered. Staff was nice but didn't communicate so they came in constantly and I couldn't get any rest. My room was dirty and it took for my baby's father to take the trash to the hallway for the cleaning staff to acknowledge the room needed cleaned. Also you have to pay almost $10 per day for access to the phone and tv which was old and clunky. The rooms are small and stuffy with water stains and rust on the ceilings. I've never been to prison but I imagine they would have better facilities than this. Only went here because it was the closest hospital.
This place is a disgrace! Unprofessional, unsanitary, and an uncaring staff. Enter at your own risk! The only reason I gave it one star is that is the only way it would accept my rating which is ZERO stars!!!!!
I have always received excellent care and I have been hospitalized in 1996,1998, 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2017. I have been through the emergency room on several occasions including in July 2017. I have found the care to be exceptional and the customer service to be among the best. Unfortunately due to being bought by profit-making companies instead of staying non- profit as most hospitals were in the past, now the bottom line has become more important than the patient, so... nurses are expected to do more with less as are doctors, maintenance, etc. I am a self advocate as we all need to be these days. I am always kind and courteous to everyone on the staff and I may have to wait but I always get what I need.
This hospital its awsome the people are nice. And fast services, wonderful nurses and doctors.. my experience was great.
This hospital is one of the worst hospitals out there!! Please do not go there for your own sake! The doctors and the nurses are very unprofessional and disrespectful to the patients! The latest news.. one patient went there and she was pregnant, her baby died for like a day and she was experiencing abdominal pain so she went to ER. The doctors did God knows what, they said she & her baby was fine.... soo she went to UPenn the next day and they found the baby was dead for like 2 days!! From me to you all patients out there believe it when I say this I’ve been to this hospital and to ER. Please go somewhere else but except here! This is the worst hospital in he planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
